Alberto L. Fernandez, DVM, DACVECC obtained his veterinary degree from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2004. Following graduation from veterinary school, Dr. Fernandez started his veterinary career in veterinary emergency medicine and this continues to be his path since then. He completed a Fellowship in Zoo Animal Medicine and in 2011 he completed a Residency in Veterinary Emergency and Critical
Care. Dr. Fernandez became a Diplomat of the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care (ACVECC) in 2012. He served as an Associate Professor of Emergency and Critical Care Medicine at St. Georges University School of Veterinary Medicine and currently provides consulting services for developing veterinary schools. His professional interested “interests” included but not limited to emergency surgery, trauma, infections, intravenous lipid therapy and toxicology. Dr. Fernandez thrives to provide excellent and compassionate care and shares his life with his wife, two boys, our dog Maya and kitten, Trixy.
